4. Use of cookies

Our WEBSITE uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are stored in the internet browser or by the internet browser on the user’s computer system. When a user accesses a website, a cookie may be stored on the user’s operating system. This cookie contains a characteristic string of characters that enables the browser to be uniquely identified when the website is called up again.

We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Some elements of our WEBSITE require that the calling browser can be identified even after changing the WEBSITE. The following data is stored and transmitted in the cookies:

  • Log-in information
  • Information about the browser type and version used
  • The operating system of the user
  • The user’s internet service provider
  • The anonymised IP address of the user
  • Date and time of access
  • Websites from which the user’s system accesses our WEBSITE
  • Websites that are accessed by the user’s system via our WEBSITE
  • Language and country settings
  • Site-related data

We also use cookies on our WEBSITE that enable an analysis of the user’s surfing behaviour. The following data can be transmitted in this way:

  • Search terms entered
  • Frequency of page views
  • Use of website functions
  • Search results

When accessing our WEBSITE, the user is informed about the use of cookies for analysis purposes and his consent to the processing of personal data used in this context is obtained. In this context, a reference to this data protection declaration is also made. The use of interactive offers is only possible with cookies.

The purpose of using technically necessary cookies is to simplify the use of websites for users. Some functions of our WEBSITE cannot be offered without the use of cookies. For these, it is necessary that the browser is recognised even after a change of website. The use of analysis cookies is for the additional purpose of improving the quality of our WEBSITE and its content. Through the analysis cookies, we learn how the WEBSITE is used and can thus constantly optimise our offer.

Cookies are stored on the user’s computer and transmitted to our WEBSITE by the user. Therefore, you as the user also have full control over the use of cookies. By changing the settings in your internet browser, you can deactivate or restrict the transfer of cookies. Cookies that have already been stored can be deleted at any time. This can also be done automatically. If cookies are deactivated for our WEBSITE, it may no longer be possible to use all the functions of the WEBSITE to their full extent.

5. How do we use web analytics technologies?

We use so-called web analysis or tracking technologies in order to constantly improve our internet offer. Depending on the provider of the web analysis tool, their servers may be located abroad. See also “Disclosure of your data” below.

We mainly use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. To deactivate Google Analytics, Google provides a browser add-on at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site (see above). The information generated by the cookie about your use of this WEBSITE (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the WEBSITE, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.

Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google and will only pass it on to us in anonymised form. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

Google complies with the Privacy Shield and is registered with the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Privacy Shield programme and uses the information collected to evaluate the use of our WEBSITE, to compile reports for us and to provide other related services to us. To learn more, please visit http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html. By using this WEBSITE, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

We also use Google AdWords, an analysis service from Google, and conversion tracking as part of Google AdWords. Google AdWords places a cookie for conversion tracking on your computer’s hard drive (a so-called “conversion cookie”) when you click on an ad placed by Google. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If you visit certain pages on our WEBSITE, Google and we can recognise that you have clicked on the ad and have been redirected to this page.

If you do not wish to participate in the tracking, you can refuse the setting of a cookie required for this – for example, by means of a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies – or set your browser so that cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com” are blocked.

The information obtained with the help of the conversion cookies is used to create statistics. Through these statistics, we learn the total number of users who have clicked on the ad placed by Google and have accessed a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag.

In addition to conversion tracking, we also use the functions:

  • Remarketing
  • Target groups with common interests
  • Customised target groups with common interests
  • ready-to-buy target groups
  • similar target groups demographic and geographic targeting.

With the remarketing function of Google and other providers, we reach users who have already visited our WEBSITE. This allows us to present our advertising to target groups who are already interested in our products or services. AdWords also uses user behaviour on websites in Google’s advertising network (“Display Network”) over the last 30 days and the contextual search engine to determine the common interests and characteristics of users of our WEBSITE. Based on this information, AdWords then finds new potential customers for marketing purposes whose interests and characteristics are similar to those of our website users. The target group-specific remarketing is carried out through the combined use of cookies, e.g. Google Analytics cookies and Google DoubleClick cookies.

6. Social media

a. We use social media to showcase our work through popular and up-to-date communication channels. Each social media has its own policy on how your personal data is processed when you visit its pages. For example, if you watch one of our videos on YouTube, you must explicitly agree to accept cookies on the YouTube page. The same applies to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, XING and LinkedIn.

If you have any concerns or questions about the use of your personal data, you should read the privacy policies of these services carefully before using them.

b. Plug-ins from various providers such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+ are integrated on our pages. The plug-ins are marked with the logo of the provider and can be, for example, Like buttons or a Google+ button or Twitter button (as an example, you can find an overview of plug-ins from Facebook here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/).

When you visit our pages, a direct connection is established between your browser and the provider via the plug-in. The corresponding provider thereby receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. We would like to point out that we do not have any knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or of its use by the corresponding provider. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing of your data by the provider, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, can be found in the data protection information of the provider.

7. Passing on your data

Skinline Aesthetics Swiss has its main location in 8592 Uttwil. A secondary location exists in the Hirslanden Klinik Stephanshorn in St. Gallen (only Dr. med. Sascha Dörrmann). By using the WEBSITE and its services, the user agrees that his/her data may be transmitted within and processed by these sites. This may be done not only to fulfil the purpose stated by the user, but also for reasons of group-wide accounting, reporting, optimisation of IT services and marketing. Skinline Aesthetics Swiss guarantees compliance with the principles of Swiss data protection law. Employees of Skinline Aesthetics Swiss may only view or process the data if this is necessary for the performance of their duties at Skinline Aesthetics Swiss.

We may also disclose your personal data to third parties in order to provide technical or organisational services that we need to fulfil the above purposes or our other business activities. Our service providers are contractually obliged to process personal data exclusively on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions. We also oblige our service providers to comply with technical and organisational measures that ensure the protection of personal data. If the service providers are located in countries where the applicable laws do not provide for a level of protection of personal data comparable to Swiss law, we will contractually ensure that the service providers concerned comply with the Swiss level of data protection.

We may also disclose your personal information if we are required to do so to comply with applicable laws and regulations, in legal proceedings, at the request of the relevant courts and authorities, or as otherwise required by law, or if we believe it is necessary to protect and defend our rights or property.

8. How long will my data be stored?

All stored personal data will – as soon as they are no longer required for the purposes for which they were collected, the user contract has ended or you request this – be deleted immediately and irretrievably, unless Skinline Aesthetics Swiss is obliged to retain them by law. Aggregated or anonymised data that do not reveal the user may, however, also be used for internal purposes.

9. How do we protect your data?

We have taken technical and organisational measures to ensure that the regulations on data protection are observed both by us and by external service providers working for us. In the case of unencrypted transmission on an open network (for example, when you send us messages or other information), data can be read, changed or destroyed by unauthorised third parties. Any transmission of data from or to the WEBSITE is therefore at the user’s own risk.

10. What rights do I have?

You are entitled to request information about your personal data stored at any time. In addition, you can request the correction, transfer, partial or complete deletion and blocking of individual personal data from the controller at any time, provided that this request does not conflict with any statutory retention obligations. Furthermore, under certain conditions, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.

You can also exercise your right to object to data processing at any time without giving reasons.

You can revoke your consent to the offer of information and advertising via newsletter or the registration for other services at any time in the respective newsletter or on the other registration page or via the following e-mail address: info@skinline-aesthetics.ch.
